My dog was elbowed in the stomach. What symptoms should I watch for?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Maltese | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 5 months old | 13 lbs

Following on that last question? If there was problems because it was kinda a hard elbow push against his stomachs where there was no bones just intensities what should I be worried for. Not hard where I feel off and fell on my elbow on him. Sorry I'm just worrying!

if Jaxx is otherwise acting normal, eating, drinking, urinating and defecating normally, and no bruising along the belly then there isn't anything to worry yourself over. He likely will be just fine. If you however are overly concerned then a quick exam by your vet can be done to clear him for any major injuries. Best wishes and I hope everything works out well for Jaxx.

There is a very low risk of causing internal bleeding this way. You can monitor for any bruising along the belly of you are really concerned. However you pet Jax is likely going to be just fine. Best wishes and take care of that fur baby.
