Is it safe to give my small dog dewormer twice within five days?

You can safely deworm a pet once every 2-4 weeks. Deworming medication has a very high margin of safety so there are no worries about your pets organs. Nothing is guaranteed, and adverse effects can happen with any medication, but deworming medication is one of the safest medicines to give your pet.

Panacur is a three day course of treatment, so it would need to be given a couple days in a row. Drontal, for example, is a different dewormer and can be given as early as two weeks apart. Unfortunately I can't answer your question as to if she will be ok or not without knowing the name of the dewormer, but they are typically very safe with few sides effects even when dogs are given more than the recommended dose. Wormers are generally considered very safe medications and although some vomiting or diarrhea may develop this should resolve uneventfully. Some types can cause tremors and neurological signs and you should contact an emergency vet and inform them of the brand, timing and dosage if you notice any unusual symptoms

Most of the common dewormers are incredibly safe, so I wouldn't worry about any toxic effects from overuse. If Toto shows any signs of illness, like vomiting, diarrhea, or profound lethargy, then I would discuss this possibility with your vet.

No worries. There is a wide safetly margin with the amount of dewormer a pet can have in one sitting. Olive will be just fine with the dewormer and heartworm prevention given at the same time. : ) In fact we give heartworm prevention and bi-annual dewormers together all the time. Hi, I would not repeat the dewormer dose as you do not want to overdose her on the dewormer. She should be dewormed again in 3 weeks to make sure you got the life cycle of all the parasites she may have. If she is not having diarrhea or weight loss she may not even have worms. There is not a need to deworm her before the vaccines, they will still work properly regardless of the worming. I would go to your vet for vaccines and bring a stool sample with you to see if they could check it for worms. Depending on what eggs they see, they might recommend a different dewormed like pyrantel or panacur (fenbendazole). Either way, i would not redose her because she is so small and it is easy to overdose them and make them sick. If your vet suggests something different, you can follow his or her instructions.
