My dog chewed Adaptil diffuser. Is it toxic? Do they need a vet?

I would be concerned that she jumped because she fractured a tooth or injured herself on the can. She may have just been startled. A small amount of air freshener is likely to be bitter and may cause besides and vomiting. I recommend keeping a close eye on Marley. She should be seen by a vet if you think she is painful in the mouth (hypersalivating, guarding, etc) or is vomiting or lethargic. I hope this helps and that all is well with Marley!

Toxicity wise there isn't much to worry about but the wire could still irritate the stomach and intestines, depending on the amount it could also cause an obstruction. if the wire was connected to the electricity at the time of ingestion he could also have been electrocuted which can cause some internal damage in the lungs and throat for example. you should consider all these options and decide if you want to monitor him for now or take him tp the vet right away for a checkup.

If toy do not believe there was anything in the box then I would monitor Casper for now. If you notice any symptoms such as lethargy, inappetance, vomiting or diarrhea, I would get him in to be examined by a veterinarian for further testing. Hello, and thank you for your question. It is difficult to tell whether Bentley ingested a toxic amount of the deodorant since it was a spray. Aerosols can contain hydrocarbons which are volatile compounds that can cause stomach upset. If you think she ingested a large amount of the spray, I would take her to the vet now just in case. Otherwise, I would monitor her for any vomiting or diarrhea. If this happens, I would contact your vet at that point. If mild diarrhea is seen, you can try fasting her for about 12 hours, then start offering small frequent meals of a bland diet such as boiled chicken and rice. Pheromone products are not harmful or toxic. Alternatives would depend on what exactly you were using the pheromones to "treat". If it is to decrease aggression, behavioral modification may be required. For anxiety, you can use compression clothing, such as the ThunderShirt, as well as desensitization to the negative stimuli.

I personally like the Adaptil diffuser. You simply have to plug it in, and it will diffuse the pheromones in the room helping to calm Teddy. You don't have to give him a pill, which some dogs hate taking and may add more stress. I personally recommend using the diffuser.
