My dog has bumps on her back, bites them, and is vomiting. Help!

With the description you have provided I would recommend having her see n by your veterinarian to have testing done such as blood work to see why she is lethargic and vomiting. The skin condition would likely not cause the vomiting. Your vet may recommend a course of an oral antibiotic and topical therapy for the skin condition. I would also have the cysts tested to see what they are. Your vet can insert a small needle into the cysts and see what the cells are under a microscope to help determine what they could be. Depending on the size, distribution, and appearance of the red bumps they can be a great variety of things. If they have all come about suddenly and are occurring in concert with the vomiting, I would concerned that Mootzie is undergoing an allergic reaction. If the symptoms do not seem to be worsening (no respiratory distress, swelling of the face / lips, etc), you do not need to rush her into the veterinarian tonight for treatment. I would fast her of any food and water for the next 12-18 hours to see if she settles down. If she doesn't or the clinical signs worsen or progress, get her to a hospital as soon as possible.

The vet can perform a test called a fine needle aspirate on it. To do this, the vet sticks a small needle into the lump to get a sample of its cells, and examines the cells on a slide under a microscope. It's usually painless to the animal, and relatively quick to perform. Once the cause of the lump is diagnosed, the vet can discuss treatment options if needed. I am so sorry that Chanita is dealing with this. I would highly recommend calling your veterinarian and taking her to see them. This looks like it could potentially be an allergic reaction and that would explain why the benadryl helped and the lesions are no longer there. She may still have some of the allergen affecting her. Your veterinarian can perform blood work to make sure there is nothing else going on with her and then give her medication to help with the allergen. They can also vomit from an allergic reaction so it does not surprise me. Regarding her stool you can always try a bland diet (boiled chicken and white rice). Yes, it looks like a folliculitis but in these cases mites infection is always in differential.). Disinfection may be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine or salted water baths. Buster collar may be useful as well to avoid any licking (if any). At this stage vomiting seems completely unrelated, and I would recommend to approach it by withholding food for the next 8-12 hours and then start feeding with a bland diet based on boiled chicken and rice in small portion every 6 hours for the following 48hours. Then gradually reintroduce the normal diet over 5 days. If the signs persist a check up would be ideal though. Poor girl. Certainly tick borne disease can cause vomiting a couple weeks after exposure, but a month seems to be a bit prolonged. Also you would typically see other symptoms too such as limping, low grade fever and a decreased appetite. Other potential causes of vomiting are: stomach upset due to a change in diet, eating something she shouldn’t have, acid reflux disease, or even inflammatory bowel disease just to name a few. if he vomiting continues for more than a day or two, or if she has any more symptoms that you didn’t mention here, then this best to take her in for a complete examination to ensure she is ok.
