My dog has bloody stool, mucus, and drools. Is it medication side effects?

Pooping blood can be related to medication, but without knowing the medications she is on, I can't say for certain. It's not a typical symptom of Cushings, however, and it could be caused by GI ulcers, intestinal parasites, eating something rotten, a foreign body, or GI tumors. Given that she is eating and drinking well, it's fine to wait until Monday, but if that changes or she becomes very lethargic and unwell, I would take her into an ER vet or find a vet on call to see her right away.

If Maude had surgery on her mouth, it is unlikely that her colon or rectum would be affected. Instead I would be more concerned that a reaction to the medication or a bacterial over growth is the cause. Any time blood is present, you need to see the veterinarian. Call them today and start Maude on a bland diet. Your veterinarian may make recommendations about switching the antibiotic, adding in a probiotic and is generally the best one to guide the treatment. I am sorry Bruno is not feeling well. I am having some trouble understanding what you are talking about and how to help. A young dog with blood in stool would concern me about a virus, parasite or liver issues. However epilepsy (seizures of unknown reason) should not be causing bloody stool. IF Bruno is on seizure medications it can affect the liver values. I would try to re post or do a consult for more information

It sounds like she may have an infection in her uterus and needs emergency surgery. It does sound like she may have a flea allergy but I think the vomiting and discharge are unrelated. I recommend you have her evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and to start her on therapy. Most cases of colitis respond well to medications like metronidazole. Also, it is important to make sure she is not dehydrated as that can happen from repetitive bowel movements. Good luck and have a good day!

I hate to hear Chicken Noodle is not feeling well! Yes, this can be a side effect of the medication but other causes are also possible. I recommend to start by calling your veterinarian. They will ask you several questions and help to determine if the medication should be continued or if additional care is needed. There are a couple things you can do at home that may also help. A bland diet for 48 hours can help. A bland diet can consist of 25% boiled white meat chicken and 75% boiled white rice. This should all be plain. A probiotic may also be beneficial. Purina carries a nice one called FortiFlora if you can find it. Your vet will also have a nice one as well. You can add additional water to her food to help prevent dehydration.
