My dog has bloody pee and watery stool but is active. What's wrong?

I would be very concerned about Yogi. Has he had any vaccines? There are several possible causes of this in young dogs. Parvovirus is high on my list. Intestinal parasites is also on my list. If the veterinarian isn’t offering diagnostics like a parvo test or intestinal parasite test, I would go for a second opinion. I think that Yogi needs some oral medications and possible food change. Diarrhea can be the result of an intestinal infection, dietary indiscretion (eating something that upset her gastrointestinal tract), inflammation or even stress. Bloody urine is typically due to a bladder infection, bladder stones, a primary bleeding disorder or in rare cancers bladder cancer. She will need to see her veterinarian for urine and fecal testing as she will likely require medication to treat her issues. I hope this information helps!

Reasons for blood in the stool include colitis, intestinal parasites and dietary indiscretion and some possible reasons of blood in the urine include urinary tract infections, urinary stones and even tumors. Bloody urine in an uneutered male dog could be caused by stones in the bladder or lower urinary tract, or prostatic or bladder infections. Scrappy would need to be evaluated by a veterinarian for a diagnosis and treatment. And give that he is feeling so badly I would take him in right away. They will likely collect a urine sample and may visualize the bladder and prostate with X-rays or an ultrasound.

Vomiting and diarrhea can occur secondary to conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, dietary indiscretion, parasites, among other possibilities. In addition, black stools can be indicative of bleeding into the small intestine or stomach which can happen secondary to an ulcer for instance. Bloody urine can be the result of an infection, stones, tumors, among other possibilities. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. At the very least they can start him on medications to make him feel better and check his hydration status. In the meantime, keep water available at all times to try to prevent dehydration. Hello. This could be a result of a serious bladder infection, prostatitis, urinary bladder stones, a bleeding polyp/mass or trauma. This definitely warrants a trip to your veterinarian ASAP.
