I'm sorry to hear your dog is sick! The black and bloody is very concerning to me. Black stool can indicated a gastrointestinal ulcer. Dogs with kidney problems or exposure to toxin can also have black or bloody stool and this can be an emergency. I recommend you take your dog to a veterinarian right away. She may need medication to heal an ulcer or blood work to determine if she has an internal medical issue.
Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach and I hope your dog is feeling better soon!

Black stools are caused by either something they ate or bleeding in the stomach or upper GI tract. I would recommend having Bruno examined by a vet, as bleeding could be serious and fatal if untreated.

Black poop can be caused by something he ate, digested blood, and sometimes pepto bismol. I would watch closely for any nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or another black stool. If any of these occur then he should be evaluated by a veterinarian as soon as possible. Best of luck and thank you for using Pet Coach.
