This can be from many reasons including parasites, a reaction to a drug, colitis, hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, or something causing bleeding in the intestinal tract. When blood is present, it can allow bacteria from the colon access to the blood stream. If he is still acting normal and drinking, you can likely wait until morning to have him seen. This could be caused by a bacterial infection, Calli eating something abnormal like table scraps or a food intolerance/allegedly. GI parasites can also cause diarrhea. Some cases do fine with a bland diet and monitoring at home but others can become dehydrated and need further care. If Callie continues to have diarrhea, is not eating and/or drinking, or starts vomiting she needs to be examined by a veterinarian.

It should be ok to wait until morning unless Gizmo becomes very lethargic or starts vomiting constantly, in such a scenario i would recommend to take him to the out of hours, if he is otherwise more or less fine in himself this can wait for your regular vet in the morning.

It indicates inflammation in the colon. Causes of diarrhea are: intestinal parasites (so bring fresh stool sample), viral or bacterial infections, dietary indiscretion (ate something gross), HGE (hemorrhagic gastro-enteritis), pancreatitis, food allergy or intolerance, reaction to a new treat/food/table food. You don't want to see them go longer than 48 hours without pooping, which should put you at Monday. It could something Cosita ate causing this poop, it could be an illness, a foreign body, or it could be trauma to her GI tract. The vet should hopefully be able to diagnose the cause.

I recommend to call your veterinarian today. They should ask many detailed questions and help you decide if Jennex should come in for an exam today or if you can try a bland diet +/- probiotics and see if it passes after 24 hours. A bland diet can consist of 25% boiled white meat chicken and 75% boiled white rice. This should all be plain. A good probiotic is Purina FortiFlora if you can find it.
