My pug has fresh blood in his fur after grooming, what should I do?

This presentation could be due to a trauma or localized spot of skin infection (likely to be caused by bacteria). A check up, appropriate disinfection and possibly antibiotics (oral, topical or in a shampoo formulation) are needed to solve the problem. Disinfection can eventually be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine or salted water baths. Buster collar may be useful as well to avoid any licking/scratching. It is not an emergency but it may possibly get worse during the next 24-48hours, especially if he keeps scratching. It could be a skin infection. You could soak his paw in a warm Epsom salt solution and see if that helps. Otherwise, he needs to be examined by a vet for treatment. He may need an antibiotic and/or corticosteroid to help treat.

The look like cuts or abrasions. I would look carefully around the house and yard to see if there is anything that Pickles may have run through or gotten tangled in to cause this type of wound. In the first picture, there may be damage deeper than just skin level, and I would recommend that this one be checked out by a vet. You can continue to use the Neosporin and prevent licking, but no need to continue using peroxide. He should definitely be examined by a vet if there is a creamy discharge, discharge with a foul odor, swelling around the wound, or if Pickles develops any other abnormal symptoms.

This could be from an injury. Clean it with warm water and antiseptic soap, and keep the wound clean and dry. Monitor it daily for signs of infection, including redness, swelling, warmth to the touch, and pus. If you see any signs of infection, have Billy seen by a vet.

The first thing you need to do is get an e-collar for Buster so he cannot pick on the cuts. You can put some neosporine on the cuts once a day and the should be healing soon. If these cuts do not heal within a week they will need to be seen by a veterinarian.

I am very sorry to hear about Pablo. I would be concerned that he has a wound of the skin on his head. If the area is matted then it is hard to really tell and he likely needs to visit to vet to have the matted area shaved off so that we can see what is going on with the skin. It is also possible there was a scab/crust under the matted fur that was loosened during bathing and that is where the bleeding is coming from, but we will need to see the area to tell for certain. For this reason, I would recommend a vet visit ASAP. In the meantime, you can apply pressure to the head as well as an ice pack (wrapped in a thin towel) to try to get the blood vessels to constrict and the pressure will help stop the blood flow and aid in clotting. If the area will not stop actively bleeding (more than just minor oozing) then a trip to the veterinary ER may be needed. There are some health conditions (such as adrenal gland disease) that can result in the skin being thin and easily traumatized, so the vet may want to evaluate him for this as well.
