My pug's leg has a bleeding spot. Should I see a vet or treat at home?

This presentation could be due to a trauma or localized spot of skin infection (likely to be caused by bacteria). A check up, appropriate disinfection and possibly antibiotics (oral, topical or in a shampoo formulation) are needed to solve the problem. Disinfection can eventually be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine or salted water baths. Buster collar may be useful as well to avoid any licking/scratching. It is not an emergency but it may possibly get worse during the next 24-48hours, especially if he keeps scratching. It looks like there is some mild irritation in the area in the pictures. I would try to keep it clean with a damp cloth and monitor him. If he starts to scratch or bite at it or you notice more blood or discharge I would take him to the vet to be evaluated.

The look like cuts or abrasions. I would look carefully around the house and yard to see if there is anything that Pickles may have run through or gotten tangled in to cause this type of wound. In the first picture, there may be damage deeper than just skin level, and I would recommend that this one be checked out by a vet. You can continue to use the Neosporin and prevent licking, but no need to continue using peroxide. He should definitely be examined by a vet if there is a creamy discharge, discharge with a foul odor, swelling around the wound, or if Pickles develops any other abnormal symptoms.

I would recommend that you have Mo examined by a vet. From the pictures, these don't look like blisters. They could be caused by allergies, foreign bodies, autoimmune disease, deep bacterial or fungal infection, etc. The vet may need to do a biopsy to see what the cause is so that Mo can receive appropriate treatment.

As long as there is no actual deep cut (which I cannot appreciate in the picture), you may be able to treat him at home. To speed up the healing process, you may proceed with diluted epsom salt soaks every 8 hours for 3 days. If not improving or worsening, have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Make sure to dry up his pads well after soaks. Good luck and have a great day!

This sounds like Prada may have an infection or abscess on her leg. This needs to be assessed and treated by a veterinarian, who will also prescribe antibiotics and pain medicine if indicated. Please take Prada to a veterinarian ASAP.
