My dog is biting a sore on her leg with a lump. Is it urgent?

Ouch! Definitely something that should be checked out by your regular vet ASAP. Certain types of tumors such as mast cell tumors, hemangiomas, injuries, blood blisters, etc can all appear like this, and so it should be looked at and biopsied to see what is going on. Until you can get to your vet in the morning, keeping Berkeley from licking or chewing on the spot with an Elizabethan (cone) collar is best to reduce any further injury or irritation.

Daisy sure is cute!! So sorry she is having this issue. That looks like an open wound that is oozing. The lump could be an abscess or cyst that has ruptured. I would not consider this an emergency but I would try to take her in for an exam during your vet's regular business hours. It is very hard for me to tell much without seeing her in person. This is likely an infected interdigital cyst. You can soak the paw in a solution of warm water and epsoms salt for five minutes twice a day. That will help draw out the infection. Use a cone if needed to prevent licking. Often these need oral antibiotics to heal but you are fine waiting a few days to see your veterinarian. The symptoms do not sound life threatening. If the wounds are not full thickness and do not appear to be bleeding, you clean the area with peroxide and wait until Monday. If you notice bleeding, swelling or discharge, I would advise you to take him to an emergency veterinary hospital.

It doesn't look great, but if he is eating and drinking, he does not have a fever, and the area isn't hot, you can wait until tomorrow morning to have him seen by his vet. This does indeed look painful and ugly. There is no way to tell what caused this, however it is big enough and looks concerning enough to need to be seen by a vet. The vet will have these wounds cleaned after clipping all the hair around them, then disinfect them and probably apply some antibiotic ointment. Do not let Symphony lick the area as that may aggravate the condition. If she is very much in pain or if the wounds are bleeding, you should take her to a Pet ER tonight, otherwise you can probably wait until tomorrow to take her to a vet.
