My dog has a raised bump on her side she keeps biting. Is it a vet emergency?

I am sorry to hear about Daisy! Due to the size of this lesion and the fact that it isn't improving, I would recommend taking Daisy to the vet for examination of this swelling. I would be concerned that we could have a bacterial infection like an abscess, that this could be a spider bite or other insect bite, or possibly even a mass/tumor. The vet can examine the area and may try to aspirate the swelling (use a small needle to remove any fluid present or collect cells that may help identify the cause of the swelling and the best treatment). These lumps are not typical of a flea allergy dermatitis. That typically is just a superficial rash with itching, hair loss, scabs, etc. These lumps are concerning. Your pet may have developed abscesses which are deeper infections that form pockets of pus or infectious fluid. This is worth a trip to the vet for a recheck. I do not feel that it is a life threatening emergency, but it should be addressed by your veterinarian as soon as regular business hours resume. Your pet may need prescription antibiotics, the lumps may need to be aspirated or checked with a needle and if they are full of pus, they should be drained. Please have your vet recheck him as soon as possible,

This boil could be a cyst on Daisy's face, and she will need to see a vet for it. If it is a cyst, it will need to be drained sterilely and it may need to be surgically removed to prevent it from reoccurring. Please do not try to drain it yourself as you will introduce infection into the area. I would have Daisy seen by a vet tomorrow if possible for this.

Poor Scarlet! Bites can frequently lead to abscesses, which are pockets of infection. It might be that the stuff you saw draining was pus, indicating infection. She needs to see a vet for this, as antibiotics are needed to treat any infection. The vet can flush the wound out as well. I would take her into a vet first thing in the morning.

This looks like it could be a histiocytoma or a sebaceous cyst but it is very difficult to tell much just by looking at some photos. It is not an emergency but it is best to have your vet check her out.

This definitely appears uncomfortable, and I can see that Diggory has been licking at it by the wet fur. As long as Diggory is acting normally, eating/drinking, and not vomiting; it is most likely okay to wait until tomorrow morning to have the area looked at by a vet. You can get him an E-collar or "cone" to keep him from bothering the area. I don't recommend putting a bandage on it, as Diggory is likely to rip it off and possibly eat it. This may be caused by an infection, allergic reaction, or even certain types of cancer. A vet will be able to prescribe antibiotics, medicated shampoos/ointments, and pain medication to keep Diggory comfortable until you get to your family vet. This could be caused by a couple of different things, and unfortunately, it's not possible to tell exactly what it is from the picture. It could be an infection, glandular cyst, or a type of skin cancer. Given that Isabelle is a light-colored dog and is older, I would want to rule-out skin cancer as the cause, because this could get much worse if not treated promptly. In order to get an accurate diagnosis, a vet will need to examine this and do some testing. They can also give some medication to control infection and/or inflammation. This is not an emergency, but it would be good to take her to the vet within the next day or two. I hope that helps and Isabella gets better soon.
