Yes. This sounds neurological and there are many possible causes ranging from an infection in his brain to a brain tumor to an inner ear infection. Probably the spine is as well quite sensitive to any manipulation. Often older boxers are presented with quite severe vertebral osteoarthrosis and arthritis leading to the fusion of the different vertebras. Hi! Thanks for entrusting us with Jeter's care today! Lameness or pain or an abnormal hair can be a sign of a few things that range from a muscle sprain to even a fracture. In some cases this is actually a nervous system abnormality. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian so that this can be further assessed which will likely include radiographs. That is not a normal behavior, and I would worry that there is an issue with the nerves, muscles or bones in her hind end or back, or even a neurologic issue further up. It would be best to bring her to your vet ASAP so they can examine her and perform testing such as X-rays to try and figure out the issue.

By his posture I am very worried about his back. I Am concerned that his spinal cord may be damaged. It also could be an infectious cause such as rabies or a parasite called neospora. Or even meningitis. He needs to be examined by a veterinarian to decide what the best course of treatment is and to make sure that you and your family are not at risk. I'm so sorry that you are dealing with this with Angel. One possibility for what you are describing is a bulging disc in the neck. If it occurs in the lower part of the neck, it can affect the nerves going to the front leg and cause lameness. I would recommend having your vet evaluate her and see if they can find any neck pain. If they do, they will be able to give her appropriate medications to make her feel better. In the meantime, I would recommend keeping her quiet, so she doesn't flare it up any more. Good luck! I am concerned about a possible trauma or even ruptured disc in his back. Is there any way he could of had trauma or an injury to his back. Also infection like meningitis can cause neurological changes. I know you took him to a vet but he most like needs x-rays and possibly a ct/MRI to really look for broken bones and an injured spinal cord. I hope robin approves quickly
