My puppy was bitten by dogs and can't use his back legs. What's wrong?

I am not sure i fully understand your post, I understand that he was bitten by other dogs and he isn't playing but I am not sure what you are trying to say about his back legs. If he is not using his back legs and that is where he was bitten his muscles could be sore and inflamed form the bites or he could have an infection. Worse case scenario he could have been bitten in his back and he could be paralyzed. It is very important that Golya be evaluated by a Veterinarian to treat his pain and infection. I am concerned about a possible trauma or even ruptured disc in his back. Is there any way he could of had trauma or an injury to his back. Also infection like meningitis can cause neurological changes. I know you took him to a vet but he most like needs x-rays and possibly a ct/MRI to really look for broken bones and an injured spinal cord. I hope robin approves quickly

Spinal cord infarct and slipped disc (intervertebral disc extrusion) may be most likely differentials considering the description of the signs you provided. I would recommend she be evaluated by her regular veterinarian as soon as possible, as an inability to move her legs can be a sign of a serious underlying issue. There are a variety of causes for what you are seeing, such as an infection (Lyme disease), neurological or orthopedic issue, among others. As some of these may be time sensitive, I would recommend she be evaluated as soon as possible to see what may be going on, and any treatment she may need. Good luck!

I recommend that you have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to check for this and treat him accordingly. Best of luck!

Hello, I'm concerned that Hercules may have injured his back or spine somehow, which could lead to him not using his back legs well. I would recommend having him seen by a vet right away so his neurologic function to his legs can be assessed. They will likely recommend x-rays to initially image his spine, and may recommend CT or MRI imaging if they are suspicious of a herniated disc. Rest, anti-inflammatories, muscle relaxers, and good pain management medications are important mainstays for healing any type of back injury. Hello, sorry to hear about Rocky. Given he had 5 injections, his bum and legs may be a little sore and he is unwilling to move. However, if he is moving, but dragging his rear legs, then I would have him evaluated by your veterinarian immediately as this could be associated with a severe injury. Alternatively, other causes may include a heavy burden of fleas infection, tick bite, or an immune mediated effect from all of his vaccines.
