Is it okay to give my dog Benadryl while he's taking Temeril-P?

No, please don’t use them together. Temaril P has a low dose of prednisone in it and you don’t want to use prednisone with a non- steroidal medication. It could cause side effects including gastric ulcers or could damage the liver or kidneys. It’s safe to use Benadryl for allergies with Carprofen. Hello, I hope Sophie is recovering from her surgery well! Yes Sophie can take both of these medications at the same time. Temaril P is an antibiotic/steroid combination medication that is used to help dogs with skin allergies. Amoxicillin is also an antibiotic but works in a different way than the one in temaril P. Antibiotics can make pets have an upset stomach, so I would recommend giving these medications with food to help minimize the chance of this side effect Hope this helps!

Please, monitor him at home for now and if you notice any worrying symptoms, get him checked by your local vets.

Temaril-P is safe to give daily. It is tapered down like this because this is required if taking the pet off the medication. So here moving forward I would suggest to give it daily and then discuss with your vet about getting additional refills of the medication before you run out so that you can safely taper him down, if at all.
