My dog is suddenly barking, peeing inside, and acting strange. Is she sick?

Hello, I'm so sorry to hear this about Kaya. I agree that it does sound like she could be in pain- pain from an anal gland infection, or belly or back pain would be my first suspicions. I'd take her to see a veterinarian as soon as possible- they will be able to recommend the best diagnostics and treatments after a physical exam. Best of luck and take good care to both of you.

It is possible she has a source of pain such as an anal gland abscess or spinal/joint pain causing her distress. I recommend you video the episodes and schedule a full physical exam for Opal with your vet to identify the location of the isse

Aww, I’m sorry to hear about Daisy! I see this commonly with either pain or anxiety. These little guys can easily injure their backs and legs which can cause changes in behavior and the way they stand- as well as shaking. You may also notice Daisy avoiding the dog door or refusing to jump on beds/couches as she normally does. I recommend taking her in for a good physical exam to see if this might be the case. Poor Bella. This may be behavioral or there may be something going on causing her to have accidents. I would first want to rule out any medical issues. I would have your vet take a look at her and check her fecal for parasites including giardia and campylobacter as these can cause a loose stool and even just an increased urgency to go to the bathroom. I would also have them check a urinalysis to ensure she doesn't have a urinary tract infection (UTI), UTIs commonly causing them to have accidents in the house. If everything is normal, I would start back at basics with training. I personally like to crate train dogs because I feel like it works the best. I will attach more info below. I would be concerned that she hurt herself somehow. Unfortunately, without a physical examination it is hard to say exactly what is causing her symptoms. I would consider calling your veterinarian if she is still having this issue when you wake up in the morning and having her seen. Since Lola has been sick for a few days now, I recommend to have her examined by the veterinarian. Just like people, pets can get sick for many many reasons. This could range from a bacterial infection to an intestinal blockage. Any pet that is not feeling well for longer than 48 hours should be examined since some illness can be life threatening. I suspect the new behavior is related to not feeling well but again, it's impossible to say. I hope this helps and that she starts feeling better quickly.

It can be caused by an infection, bladder stones or crystals in the urine.
