You can loosely bandage it with a gauze bandage. Make sure the bandage does not cut of blood flow to the lower leg. You could also wrap the leg in a towel and then tape the towel so it stays on. Hello, sorry to hear about Poochie. It may be safer to put a shirt on as the adhessive of the bandaid may cause too much movement at the incision line when being removed. A shirt and her e-collar should be sufficient to keep the incision covered and protected. Hope this helps and best of luck. It is best to let your vet place the bandage back on because if it is done incorrectly or placed too tight it can cause further problems to the leg. You vet may always provide an e collar that can prevent him from licking thebsutures or the bandaged to help keep it on. If there is a discharge from the incision, it may need a different type of bandage or different antibiotics.

Your poor pup! He could really hurt himself if he keeps trying to chew it off, and the area can become infected. The tumor will likely still keep growing and causing him these issues, so I recommend taking him into a vet today. This tumor needs to be removed so that he stops trying to chew it off.
