My dog had babesia. How long for his low platelets to increase?

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | 2 years and 6 months old

On 12 may he diagnose with babesia gibsoni and after 2 weeks he diagnosed with babesia canis and since 12 may his platelets were down only in 12 way platelets were 100000 and after two weeks on 27 may it was 75000 and after 2 days 29 may it was 155000 since 29 may till mow we had not gone for platelets check cbc... So platelets would have increased by now or not? He is eating well and playing well and is active? In hiw many days platelets starts increasing by itself

Hello, the process of increasing his platelets is not that simply described or easy to predict. It sounds like his platelets were decreased due to the infection with Babesia. Therefore, if he has been undergoing treatment for his low platelets, then I would have expected that his number would've increased. Platelets are made in the bone marrow, and the turn around time can be within a day.

The best way to truly tell if his platelets have improved is to have them checked with another cbc. Hope this helps and best of luck.
