My dog has Anaplasma. How long for low platelets to normalize?

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 6 months old

How many days it take to increase platelets from 75000 to above what is the normal range of dog platelets count and also if dog has anaplasma then in how manh days his platelets going back to be normal if he is taking medicine doxycycline

I wish there were a set number of days to expect this to happen, but there just isn't. The body can respond very quickly and normalize platelets or increase platelets just about at any time. THe key is to recheck platelet levels every 2-4 weeks as well as monitoring him for any signs of toxicity (i.e. Lethargy, lack of appetite, spontaneous bleeding, respiratory distress, etc).
