My puppy ate a used toilet wax ring. Is it harmful or poisonous?

The concern that I would have about this wax seal is that it could caused an intestinal blockage. Given that Marley ate it 12 hours ago, there's nothing you can do but monitor her. It can take up to 72 hours for it to pass. Should she start vomiting, having diarrhea, becomes lethargic and anorexic, or becomes constipated, she will need to see a vet immediately because those are signs of obstruction. If she does become obstructed, she will need surgery to remove the seal.

At this point, it is likely safe to keep an eye on Echo, but he should be evaluated by a veterinarian if he starts vomiting, has diarrhea (especially if there is blood or mucus) or trouble defecating, or stops eating/appears lethargic. These can be signs that the teething ring has created a blockage in his intestines, and it may need to be removed. It is also possible that Echo will defecate pieces of the ring within the next few days, which is normal.
