It is not unusual for dogs to eat feces and this can make them throw up. Try to stop her from eating feces by going outside with her and immediately removing any waste. I recommend that you have your pup evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Likely diagnostics to be performed include abdominal imaging and general bloodwork. Since last night was Halloween, think about if there's anything she could have eaten that she shouldn't have and take her to the vet ASAP if you realize your chocolate stash or your entire pan of bacon wrapped something or anothers from the potluck is missing. If you can't think of anything she ate, it's generally ok to wait 24 hours to see if she get back on her food naturally. Sometimes something goes wrong in the gut and we don't know why but it resolves quickly. If she's not back to normal in 24 hours, or has any vomiting or diarrhea in the mean time, she needs to go to her vet for evaluation and supportive care. She may have an upset stomach, maybe she ate something she shouldn't have, swallowed something that is causing an obstruction, parasites, or an infection of some kind are possibilities. I recommend getting he seen by your vet, especially if she isn't feeling well. Your vet will do an exam, labwork and possibly x-rays. Based on these findings, they will be able to give you a better idea of what is going on and give you treatment options.

It's hard to say. Some dogs will eat grass or leaves because their stomach hurts, as it often induces vomiting. Some dogs just like to eat these things and it doesn't cause any harm. I think it is worth discussing with your vet, especially if this is happening more than just occasionally.

I would clean up aggressively after the puppies and prevent her from access the room where she could eat the stool. I am assuming the puppies will be leaving soon for their new homes so this should be only temporary. There is no medication or preventative to stop this behavior. I hope this helps!

Vomiting is one of the most concerning symptoms a pet can have. It is a very non-specific symptom and can be a sign of almost any illness. I suggest you fast him for 8 hours. You can give one tablet of 10mg famotidine (Pepcid) now. After 8 hours there is no more vomiting you can start back feeding him his normal diet - 1/2 ration for about 2 feedings. And if still not vomiting you can then go back to normal. You can certainly start a probiotic gel like Ben-Bac even while he is fasting.
