My Jack Russell ate a pancake and is vomiting. What should I do?

Hi my 2 year old Jack Russell named Alfie has been vomiting alot yesterday today he's only vomited once but is still not himself he had eaten a pancake with syrup on (by mistake) and this has happened afterward and I am starting to get concerned

It sounds like he probably has developed a touch of gastritis due to the pancake annoying his stomach. If the vomiting continues I would attend the vet in case the fat level in the pancake has caused pancreatitis. However, it should settle within the next 24 hours. Keep him on bland food with unlimited water.
