My pug ate Oreo O's cereal. Is it toxic for dogs? Will she be okay?

However, how likely she is to develop a severe reaction depends on the exact amount of chocolate ingested which varies per package. The amount of chocolate would be in the bag and that information would be quite helpful in order to know how serious this can be. Having said that, it would be indicated to have Tika evaluated by a veterinarian as soon as possible to check the amount of chocolate ingested but also to check Tika for manifestations of chocolate toxicity and treat accordingly. Chocolate toxicity can result in gastrointestinal signs, heart issues and even neurological signs such as seizures. If this just happened, a veterinarian would be able to possibly induce vomiting to try to retrieve some of the chocolate. Good luck!

Oh my, that was naughty of him to eat all that! Luckily the Oreos won't contain a lot of chocolate, and if the donut wasn't chocolate either, there wouldn't be a concern about chocolate toxicity. The concern is the sugar content, which can and does cause GI upset. I can give you a home remedy to try if you see any GI upset in the form of vomiting. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. She's really cute! If you're talking about a chocolate flavored rice cereal, there shouldn't be a problem aside from a possible upset stomach from eating something unfamiliar. Chocolate toxicity is serious, but there is so little actual chocolate and therefore very little of the substance called theobromine that is what is toxic to dogs and cats. The darker the chocolate, the more dangerous it is. Unless she got into actual chocolate such as chocolate chips, bakers chocolate or ate a candy bar, she should be fine.

Such a small amount of chocolate (especially milk chocolate, which doesn't contain much cocoa) should not be enough to cause any significant issues - so no need to worry :) It's possible that Cupcake might have a mild upset stomach if she isn't used to eating "people food" like this, but otherwise she should be just fine.

The amount of chocolate in an Oreo should not be a toxic amount. Me may have some vomiting or diarrhea from GI upset. Try to keep him away from people food in the future but I suspect he'll be fine this time. If you notice any abnormal shaking or tremors he should go to the vet to be safe.

If I am not mistaken pocky sticks are like a biscuit-type product. If that is the case, there should be no ill effects as long as the pocky doesn't have artifical sweetener called xylitol in the ingredients (I would not expect it to have this, it is normally in sugar free products). Even the small amount of chocolate that would be on a pocky stick wouldn't be enough to cause toxicity.

Cereal and milk is generally not toxic but can cause stomach upset because it's unusual food. Check the ingredients for xylitol (which is toxic and Chewy should see the veterinarian quickly if this is present). Chewy may not have any illness but you could feed him a bland diet to counteract any bad effects if you like. A bland diet can consist of 25% boiled white meat chicken and 75% boiled white rice.
