If your dog did not eat the actual tube and only the content, there should be no problem as non of these ingredients is toxic. However, there is a possibility that Max may get diarrhea. If that happens, you can do the following: Take your dog off food for about 12 hrs, then feed bland food such as boiled rice with boiled white chicken meat in small quantities over several feeds a day. Do this for a day, then start replacing small quantities of rice with his normal food over the next two days until he is at the normal quantity of his regular food. If the diarrhea does not go away by the end of the third day, or your dog is lethargic and dehydrated,you will need to take your dog to a veterinarian for an exam.

If he ate it last night and is not showing any adverse effects by now, then he will likely be fine. If he ingested the tube, monitor for lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite or abdominal pain. These are symptoms that should be addressed by your veterinarian.

It depends on the ingredients of the chapstick. Regular or medicated chapstick is even more likely to contain difficult-to-pronounce, ingredients that could be toxic or harmful to Skye. I would call the Pet Poison Hotline at 855-764-7661 to give them the list of ingredients and they can inform you if any are toxic or not. Best of luck.

Chapstick is mostly made of Vaseline which won’t hurt him. I’m sure he’s just being an active puppy. This is like having a toddler and you should puppy proof your home. He will get better once he’s older. In the meantime give him plenty of exercise so he’s very tired, and lots of toys that are safe for him. Bag balm is non toxic, but it could cause Snow some GI upset in the form of vomiting or diarrhea if she ate a lot of it. Should you see that, withhold food for 12 to 24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days.
