My dog ate lanolin balm and plastic bottle. Is it dangerous?

If your dog did not eat the actual tube and only the content, there should be no problem as non of these ingredients is toxic. However, there is a possibility that Max may get diarrhea. If that happens, you can do the following: Take your dog off food for about 12 hrs, then feed bland food such as boiled rice with boiled white chicken meat in small quantities over several feeds a day. Do this for a day, then start replacing small quantities of rice with his normal food over the next two days until he is at the normal quantity of his regular food. If the diarrhea does not go away by the end of the third day, or your dog is lethargic and dehydrated,you will need to take your dog to a veterinarian for an exam.

That was naughty of your dog to eat the sample size baby lotion! The good news is that baby lotion typically isn't toxic to dogs, but it could cause some GI upset in the form of vomiting or diarrhea. The concern is the package that the lotion came in. If it came in a plastic bottle, I would be concerned about the bottle getting stuck in her GI tract. In this case, yes I think taking her to the vet would be the best option. The vet can induce vomiting to get the bottle out so there is no chance of obstruction. I would take her into a vet now. If she didn't eat a plastic bottle and you do see some GI signs, I can give you a home remedy that may help. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, she vomits the bland diet, she has diarrhea in the absence of food or on the bland diet, she stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away. If you see any of these symptoms in the next 24-48hrs, you should take Rayne to your local vets as an emergency. However, if she chewed the plastic into small pieces, most likely she will pass it with her stools and she will not show any worrying symptoms at all.
