My dog ate pizza with garlic parmesan sauce. Is this an emergency?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Female | spayed | 10 months and 27 days old | 54.3 lbs

Nova ate a piece of pizza, I am really worried because the sauce was garlic parmesan although the bite whe took was mostly just bread but some sauce must have touched the bread she ate.

Pizza crust is fine, and a small amount of garlic will not cause a problem. There is no reason to induce vomiting. This is a common occurrence and nothing to be overly concerned about. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Nova.
