My dog ate an Easter egg and has a rumbling stomach. What to do?

It could be that the sugar from the cookies has upset her stomach leading to the belly sounds, but the amount of chocolate in the cookies wouldn't be enough to cause any toxicity. Given that she is going potty as well as eating and drinking, I'd say she is just fine. A dog's nose changes from cold to warm just by laying in the sun or a near a heat source, so that isn't a concern. As for the warm ears, that could be due to the heat if it's warm where you are. Since last night was Halloween, think about if there's anything she could have eaten that she shouldn't have and take her to the vet ASAP if you realize your chocolate stash or your entire pan of bacon wrapped something or anothers from the potluck is missing. If you can't think of anything she ate, it's generally ok to wait 24 hours to see if she get back on her food naturally. Sometimes something goes wrong in the gut and we don't know why but it resolves quickly. If she's not back to normal in 24 hours, or has any vomiting or diarrhea in the mean time, she needs to go to her vet for evaluation and supportive care. There is very little cocoa in these eggs, so a dog Coco's size will most likely be fine. You can watch for any signs of GI upset (vomiting, diarrhea) that can come anytime a dog gets into something they're not used to eating. If you're concerned, you can reach out to your vet and they can help give Coco a medication to make her vomit and get the chocolate out of her stomach, to minimize the risk of later developing GI symptoms.

She should be fine. Just keep an eye on her and do not induce vomiting. She may have vomiting or diarrhea but probably not. If so she should be better in a day or so. If she should become lethargic or have stomach pain or severe diarrhea then certainly take her in for treatment right away. Hi, as long as the bagels were pure and did not contain any raisins or any other potentially toxic ingredients, I would not worry about it if she is resting. Let her rest today and take her for just short walks little and often, and monitor for any vomiting and diarrhoea. I would starve her for at least 12-18 hours. If she’s acting off there could be something else going on- a stomach bug, foreign body, something else she got into. If you are concerned about her I would take her to a vet for an exam and possibly blood work and xrays. They can also give her medications to calm her stomach if needed. Eggs are a great food but sometimes do not agree with dogs. I would recommend taking him to a veterinarian to be evaluated. He may have something simple going on, like an intestinal upset but he also could have something more like pancreatitis. Your veterinarian can treat for either and make him feel much better.
