My dog ate eggs and is now sick, drooling, and not eating. What to do?

Vomiting, drooling and inappetence can be observed with conditions such as gastroenteritis, pancreatitis, dietary indiscretion, gastrointestinal foreign body ingestion and obstruction, among other possibilities. For this reason, I highly recommend that you have Peanut evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment as soon as possible as I am afraid she is likely becoming dehydrated. They would be able to check for these possibilities and also check her hydration status and give her medications to make her feel better. Good luck!

if the dog is still active I would recommend to monitor her (watch for activity level, appetite, water intake, vomiting and diarrhea) and keep her without food for about 12 hours, then introduce bland diet such as boiled chicken breast and rice. BUT if the vomiting continues despite all of this, or your dog seems to be becoming more depressed or listless, or the dog not eating then call your veterinarian or a local emergency hospital.

While some dogs are allergic to eggplant, most dogs tolerate it just fine and I suspect this is not necessarily the cause of his symptoms. I would continue to monitor him for now. However, if this continues, I recommend you have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Hi and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Sorry to hear about Norik. Some puppies and dogs are extremely sensitive to any changes in their diet. Some will tolerate and others will react like this. The AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) does NOT support the use of raw foods for pets. If you want to feed him some eggs or egg yolks, I would lightly cook them and see if he can keep them down. Start with small amounts added to his regular food. Eggs and yolks are great protein and fat sources. Good luck

Drooling can be a sign of nausea which may in turn be causing the decreased appetite. I recommend that you have Hank evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Feed him a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts. If he refuses to eat the bland diet, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away.
