Dog ate coconut oil, vomiting. Should I go to emergency vet?

Typically if dogs ingest a large amount of oil it can cause gastrointestinal upset and diarrhea. I would recommend continue to monitor simba and limit the amount of water and food until Simba stops vomiting. I would be extremely concerned they have pancreatitis, which can happen in dogs when they consume too much fat. Pancreatitis can be fatal and it's an extremely serious disease, you need to take them all into a vet immediately.

It is possible for dogs to not eat well in the heat. Same with constipation. Whether either of those are her issue, I don't know. I would STOP the coconut oil immediately. It is not really that safe as it is very high in fat. High fat can cause pancreatitis in dogs which can be life threatening. I suggest you stop the coconut oil and monitor her for a few more days. If she doesn't come right I suggest you take her back to the vet for a follow-up and some blood testing.

At the least he will likely have sift poo for a day or 2 as oil acts like a laxative. However the fat in the oil may cause him to develop pancreatitis which isn't a very nice condition. If he is vomiting or dull I would seek a vet immediately.
