My chihuahua ate 4 bologna rings. Should I worry about my dog?

I highly doubt this will be harmful but it would really depend on the size of the dog. If this is a tiny dog (less than 10 pounds) then this could pose a risk for obstruction. In a larger dog, not likely. You may or may not see the casings come out in the stools but you should. It can take up to 30 hours to completely pass through the whole GI tract. I suggest you feed some high fiber foods for the next couple days to help "push" the casings through: bread, pasta, canned pumpkin, etc. work well. This should be in place of, or mixed in with, the regular diet. If the dog starts vomiting or having any problems defecating then you should get him/her to the vet for an exam. Hope this helps. Hello. I think Booka should be able to pass this just fine. Just watch for any signs of abdominal discomfort such as vomiting, diarrhea, retching, stretching, bloating, excessive water intake or loss of appetite. If Booka remains normal over the next 48-72 hours, then she will most likely be past all danger. But for the most part, she should be fine. If Bo only ate a handful, there likely won't be enough onions in them to cause any problems. Since he is acting normally, I'd just keep an eye on him for now, but my guess would be he likely will be ok. Best of luck.

You should definitley monitor him for any abnormal signs like bloating, vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, or abdominal discomfort. They might pass through with no problem but he could get some gastritis/enteritis from eating so many at once. Have him examined by a vet if you notice anything abnormal.

At this point, it is likely safe to keep an eye on Echo, but he should be evaluated by a veterinarian if he starts vomiting, has diarrhea (especially if there is blood or mucus) or trouble defecating, or stops eating/appears lethargic. These can be signs that the teething ring has created a blockage in his intestines, and it may need to be removed. It is also possible that Echo will defecate pieces of the ring within the next few days, which is normal. I would recommend feeding him normally, but not giving him any of the teething rings for the next few days. Good luck with your new puppy!

I would skip dinner tonight and limit water to sips. Feed normally tomorrow. If he ate raw bread dough he would need to go to the emergency room. Good luck!
