How to safely clean poop from my aggressive Shih Tzu's bottom?

You could consider bathing him which will make the lump of feces more manageable when is wet. Also, you could consider using an e-collar so that it is difficult for him to get around you to potentially bite. Good luck!

It's not an easy situation and there is no simple answer or solution for this issue, all i can do is advise you to take him to a dog trainer to try and get his aggressiveness down as much as possible.

Often you can remove the dried feces with a comb or soft brush. Try to get under any fur if there is any and loosen it with the comb or do some circular brushing to loosen it. Also scrubbing the area will a soft brush during a bath and using a lot of warm water usually will take care of it as well. Once Koga is clean if you put a thin film of Vaseline on his fur below and around the anus and on the underneath of the tail it will keep the diarrhea from sticking to his skin or fur. If the poop is just stuck to the fur I would recommend either soaking it to get it off or if you have a dog clipper (like a groomer uses, not scissors) and clip it off. Hello. I think a muzzle is a brilliant idea. Once you have a muzzle on her, you can carefully shave the hair off. Please do not use scissors for fear of cutting her. Hello. If you are unable to comfortably restrain her to clean the area, it would be best to seek the help of a veterinarian. It is easy to injure these small animals and you may cut her skin or cause further irritation. She may have an infection where the urine collects, so the skin may be painful and irritated. It would be best to schedule an appointment with your veterinarian.

Hi and thank you for the question, This is not normal and usually happens when a rabbit cannot clean himself (e.g. due to obesity, spinal pain etc.) and/or because of diarrhea. I recommend that you have him checked. As to local care, It is best to wash the area well with water, possibly shave it and it may require systemic antibiotics if it is inflamed. Again, these things are best done by a vet. I don't recommend diaper cream. Regards
