My bulldog puppy got sick. Will her vomiting & tremors return?

It sounds as Ellabell is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better. if the vet thinks it is more serious she will need a blood test and possibly an ultrasound in order to find out what is wrong.

Yes, it sounds like Wonder is painful (shaking), and not herself due to the vomiting. She may also have a fever which could make her lethargic. She is a young dog so most likely she has a stomach upset from something she ate. If she can't hold anything down you should take her to your veterinarian for treatment. She could have eaten something bad, or have something caught in her stomach or intestines. They will do an exam then most likely blood work and an X-ray if needed to find the specific reason she is sick. Then they can prescribe the appropriate treatment. This is a fairly common reason dogs get sick and usually they improve quickly. I agree with your concerns. This is not normal for a puppy, and I would highly encourage you to have her evaluated by a veterinarian. Small puppies can have problems regulating their blood glucose levels and that may cause the trembling and nausea. Try to give her a snack every 3-4 hours if possible. Also, deworming and vaccinations are important at this age as well. Your veterinarian will complete a good physical examination on her and let you know if they have any other concerns. I do think something is wrong and should be investigated as soon as possible. I generally recognize illness as more serious if it's causing a very food motivated dog to stop eating and if there are lethargy and breathing changes. Bulldogs are more predisposed to developing aspiration pneumonia as well so this is a big concern if Layla continues vomiting. I would have her seen by a veterinarian ASAP.

Hi, yes always take a bulldog to see a vet sooner rather than later. Vomiting in Bulldogs can cause aspiration pneumonia because of the way their airways are . Also some prompt treatment can make vomiting improve rapidly depending on the primary cause. Hope Lola gets better soon !
