My dog has been throwing up food for 2 days. Should I see a vet?

I do think something is wrong and should be investigated as soon as possible. I generally recognize illness as more serious if it's causing a very food motivated dog to stop eating and if there are lethargy and breathing changes. Bulldogs are more predisposed to developing aspiration pneumonia as well so this is a big concern if Layla continues vomiting. I would have her seen by a veterinarian ASAP.

I am so sorry to hear about Boo! I would recommend a trip to the vet given your description of vomiting numerous times in a short time frame combined with lethargy. Unfortunately with vomiting we are limited in our "at home" treatments and when they are vomiting so frequently it is really best to have them seen before they become too dehydrated. Your vet may recommend testing such as an x-ray to check for things like foreign objects and bloodwork to check for things like pancreatitis. They can give injectable medication to help stop the vomiting and fluids via an IV to help rehydrate Boo.

It sounds as Ellabell is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better. if the vet thinks it is more serious she will need a blood test and possibly an ultrasound in order to find out what is wrong.

I'm sorry to hear that Chalula has been vomiting so frequently. This is not normal and she will need to be seen by her veterinarian. Depending on her examination findings, she may need laboratory work and abdominal x-rays. If he hasn't been eating in two days it is highly abnormal, i would not recommend waiting, he needs to see a vet as soon as possible, it may be an infection or some other condition that requires to be treated with medications.

Possible causes of vomiting include GI illness, eating something rotten, a foreign body, or a pancreatitis. Without seeing him in person, I can't say for certain what is causing his vomiting, but I can say that when a dog is vomiting for longer than 24 hours, it's time to see a vet. I would take Scooby into a vet now to diagnose what is causing his vomiting so he can be treated. I hope this helps!
