Bravecto vs Simparica: Which lasts longer for flea & tick protection?

Parker should be fine. Both Bravecto and Simparica are similar types of medication, but they are tested before being sold at multiple times the regular dose and have minimal side effects. She definitely shouldn't have fleas now!

Bravecto last for three months, but I prefer using a monthly topical treatment personally. That's because it can be reapplied after two weeks at the earliest if needed, while you would need to wait longer to give your pet Bravecto again.

Nexgard is an excellent product that provide tick protection in addition to flea prevention. Bravecto is a similar product, but it provides coverage against fleas and ticks for 3 months. All of these medications require a prescription. I would recommend discussing them with your vet to determine the best fit for Charlie.

The active ingredient in Simparica is sarolaner. At this time, there are no known drug interactions reported with sarolaner. I would therefore use a spot on treatment for fleas and ticks like Frontline or K9 Advantix II. I hope this helps!

Simparica works efficiently against flea and ticks. Covering ticks is very important and this product is excellent. Discuss with your veterinarian a possible treatment for heartworms as well though as simparica does not cover for that. No worries. The one on the left (Simparica) should be given every 30 days and the one on the left (Milbemax) should only be given once initially and then again in 2 weeks for the treatment of roundworms and hookworms. Although if Jake only had tapeworms it only requires one treatment of the Milbemax. Tapeworms, if found in your pets stool, are caused by ingesting a flea, so reinfection is possible if you don’t keep up with giving the Simparica on time every month. I hope this helps. Generally, we at Pet Coach recommend using one flea and tick medication. I would recommend only using the K9 advantix on Pistol. It kills fleas, repels fleas, kills flea egg and larvae, kills ticks, repels ticks, and kills and/or repels mosquitoes. Simparica only kills fleas and ticks.
