Is it okay for my unneutered male cat to mate with my spayed female?

I have a spayed female cat and an unneutered male cat will it b ok for him to mate with her when he desires it or will she reject or hit him if he approaches her?

She will probably not let him come around her. A male cats penis has little barbs or spines on it so it won't be comfortable for her to let him mate her. Male cats can also spray their urine to mark their territory which is very smelly. I would recommend having him neutered. Good luck and kisses to both!

When a female cat is spayed, she will have no desire to mate and will not allow your male to mate with her. It is not ok to allow him to try to mate with her, and I would have him neutered to prevent that behavior from occurring.

It is less likely that Sufi will want to mate with your spayed cat because she will not be going into estrus. Female cats are only receptive to males when they are in heat, so if, for some reason, he does try to mate with her, she will likely not be OK with it and chase him off.

Oliver will probably try, but she won't allow him because she is spayed. Intact cats also spray urine around the house to make territory, so I strongly recommend having him neutered. I hope this helps!

Having him castrated (spaying is term for female animal but I know what you mean), is generally considered a safe and routine procedure although any procedure carries risks. Castrating a male cat will decrease the tendency to roam, fight and spray his urine. By decreasing these behaviors, there is a decrease in these castrated cats to get abscesses, Feline Leukemia viral infections, Feline Immunodeficiency viral infections and they are less likely to be hit by cars or attacked by other animals as they are staying closer to home. The males typically stop spraying which most pet owners appreciate. Most males will also stop having sex but some may still exhibit the behavior. Can a neutered male cat still get an unspayed female cat pregnant?

Unless you are positive you can help your friend find a proper home for every single kitten, I wouldn't recommend mating him. There is a great over population of pets in our world, and un-purposeful breeding shouldn't be allowed. I would recommend getting Milo neutered for his own health. I promise, he won't think he is missing out on something in life!

After spaying, will my cat still want to mate or go into heat?

Hello and Happy Friday. Thanks for submitting your question. Spayed cats have their uterus and ovaries removed surgically disabling them to experience estrus or "come into heat". Therefore, a spayed female cat should not have the desire to mate and will not come into heat any longer for the duration of her life. However, if the surgery was not performed properly and a small amount of ovarian tissue is left, then it is possible she could experience estrus, although this is very rare. Why does my female cat bite my male cat when he tries to mate?

Cats don't get married. If the female is not in heat, then she will likely not be receptive to the male attempting to breed her and will show the behavior she is showing. You will have to wait until she is in heat to breed them. My male cat is calling to mate. Should I get him a female or neuter?

Because Lazgah is not neutered, the only way to stop the calling for good is to have him neutered. I would not recommend bringing in a stranger cat to mate with him. Not only will it cause stress for your existing female who has a litter of kittens to look after, but you could be creating another litter of kittens with this mating, which is not responsible breeding unless you are planning to look after this female and her kittens as well. To stop him from calling, the best thing you can do is to have him neutered.
