Can a neutered male cat still get an unspayed female cat pregnant?

It's a little difficult to say. The female must be "induced" to ovulate, and without some kind of penetration (which I doubt your neutered boy was capable of) it seems a bit unlikely. However I would assume that being housed with an intact male should cause her to ovulate, once she allows him to mount.

If your male cat is neutered then he would not be able to Rupert pregnant, although in some very rare situations a small piece of testicular tissue is left behind and in this case it might be possible. Cat's don't typically show any symptoms with false pregnancy like mammary gland development or uterine enlargement. I think you should take her to your veterinarian for an exam to help determine whether or not she is pregnant. If you are not planning to breed her you may want to discuss spay surgery.

A neutered dog can still have sex – if he wants. If it has been long enough after the neuter, (typically they are completely sterile six to eight weeks after being neutered )he cannot impregnate the female.

Every cat is different but yes there is a possibility he can at 5 months as that is the start of puberty for some. I would contact your vet to see if they can do it at 5 months given the circumstance as there is not little size difference in 1 month.

It is unlikely that they will act in a sexual nature toward each other since they were each spayed/neutered before becoming sexually mature. As I'm sure you are aware, cats being brothers and sisters normally does not stop them from breeding. But since they are both sterilized, they will likely not try to mate with each other. I'm not sure I understand the time line but cats can't store sperm. Reggae has orange in her coat so she does carry the gene for the orange coloration. The long haired gene can also be carried but not expressed. I recommend to have the female spayed when the kittens are 12 weeks old. One female cat can have up to 28 kittens in a year. This is not only a lot of cats to care for but it also contributes to the significant problem of pet over population.
