How to stop my mama cat from constantly meowing when her kitten moves?

I would recommend starting by using Feliway products to help calm him. There is a Feliway spray and diffuser that I would recommend using. This product contains a pheromone that helps make cats feel more secure and they typically do calm down. If he hears other cats outside this may make him more prone to meowing incessantly. Interactive toys may help as well. There are automatic laser toys that shine a laser on the ground and this keeps some cats busy for hours. Unfortunately it's impossible to know why Adik is meowing so much! If the cats are not spayed and neutered, he is more likely to reactive if the female is coming into heat or if there are other un-neutered males outside. If they are not spayed and neutered, I recommend to have this done. This may help to decrease reactivity but it may now fully control it. Other things you can do are related to environmental enrichment. Unfortunately, I don't have a great answer for you about Stella. If she is acting otherwise normal and not exhibiting signs of illness, you may just monitor her for now. Cats can be reactive to things we don't know about, she could be smelling a cat outside or even just able to see if. She could also be bored. I would say its possible there could be a medical issue like maybe an infection in her ears or her bladder but many cats have these without vocalizing. I'm not convinced the vocalization is a medical problem but you don't know unless you get it checked out! I would try to stimulate Stella. Buy a treat ball online and feed her out of that, purchase a cat tree with a hiding area on the top, purchase some new toys and set time aside each day to play. Assuming that Niyla’s vocalization and need for socialization are related to her going into heat, then yes, it is quite likely that having her spayed will help this behavior to improve. There could be other anxiety-related behaviors at play, but I would consider first having her spayed and then watching to see if these issues resolve. It could be that Precious has gone into heat again! Cats can go back into heat relatively quickly after having kittens. That would cause her to be more vocal than usual. She could also be more vocal because she's communicating with her kittens. They are born with their eyes shut and their ear canals closed, and they stay that way their first few weeks of life. As their ear canals open, the cat uses her voice to communicate with them. If you don't want Precious to have any more kittens, I would make an appointment with the vet to have her spayed after her kittens are weaned. Best of luck, I hope this helps!

They should naturally wean eventually by 12-14 weeks but feeding them in separate rooms and trying to keep them separated for an hour or so at a time may help to encourage a bit more independence in the kittens.
