My kitten is fixed but still meows all the time. What can I do?

I totally understand how a very vocal cat can be frustrating. I would recommend having him neutered. A lot of times neutering will help with behavioral meowing. After you have him neutered make sure to hide toys and keep him engaged in activity to prevent him getting bored. I hope that helps

Unfortunately it's impossible to know why Adik is meowing so much! If the cats are not spayed and neutered, he is more likely to reactive if the female is coming into heat or if there are other un-neutered males outside. If they are not spayed and neutered, I recommend to have this done. This may help to decrease reactivity but it may now fully control it. Other things you can do are related to environmental enrichment. Try feeding him out of a food puzzle. Hide food for him to find. Provide a stand or resting place by a window so he can look outside. You may also try clicker training him for positive behavior. Dexter may be craving extra attention! It is unlikely that this behavior was caused by him being neutered. As kittens get older, they become more and more adventurous and brave. Try to find activities for him inside to burn off some of that energy. You can find cat toys that you hide food in that he has to play with to get the food out, feather toys, crunchy sound toys, or balls with bells. He may also enjoy being able to sit in a window to watch the people outside - you can try a cat treehouse/condo or a window perch.

It's possible Aleria is anxious about the kitten moving around. Unfortunately, you cannot train her away from this behavior but there are a few things you can do at home which may help. This behavior will generally stop on it's own. When the kitten is 12 weeks old, I recommend to have your cat spayed. Having a cat spayed has many health and behavioral benefits. Additionally, 1 female cat can have almost 30 kittens in a year if not kept indoors and away from male cats. That's a lot of kittens/cats to care for! I think you are saying that Toby is neutered. That is good because male cats can vocalize when they are trying to mark their territory. I would recommend taking him to a veterinarian for a good exam. It is important to rule out medical reasons for his vocalization like constipation, trouble urinating, pain, infection or oral disease. If he appears in good health I would be concerned about behavioral issues. Even though he is neutered he can still try to make or claim territory. You can try felioway around the areas. This is a cat pheromone that can help with stress.
