When to stop bottle feeding 4-week-old kittens & how often to feed?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female

Hi, I have three 4 week old kittens without their mother they are now eating wet solid food but I am still bottle feeding with kitten milk. Should I stop with the milks and just feed them food if so how often? Thanks

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!

I would cut the feedings starting now. And get them off the formula in the next 10-14 days. I would cut the feedings in half this week and then again next week. You can still mix the formula in with the canned food.

Good luck!
