When to stop bottle feeding 4-week-old kittens & how often to feed?

Hello. At 4 weeks of age, your kitten should be well on the way to eating solid food. I would prepare a dish of wet cat food mixed with a little kitten milk replacer & offer her this 3 times a day. If she still wants the bottle, I would only be doing this twice a day to encourage her to eat the solid food. A kitten this age will probably have 2-3 bowel movements in a 24 hour period. If she has open eyes, most of her kitten teeth, can walk, and is otherwise doing well, you can actually start leaving some kitten food out for her. Canned kitten food mixed with formula/milk is a good place to start. You can leave this for her before bed and she can eat it throughout the night. I definitely recommend a maximum of 8 hours between feedings if she will not eat kitten food. Best wishes to you and your kitten!

I would recommend to start weaning him off the formula and offering the cat food more and more. He is old enough to eat dry kitten food and he isn't getting what he needs with just the formula. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

So cute! You can age young kittens by weight. They should weigh about a pound per month when young. The best food is KMR (kitten milk replacer). HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! At 4 weeks old Almond should be very close to or completely weaned and eating kitten food. I would start feeding her canned kitten food and provide water in a dish. I personally do not think a cat or dog would drink from a sippy cup.I wouldn't stress over the sippy cup I would just get her off the bottle and provide fresh water in a dish.
