Is it okay to remove my cat's cone after surgery while I watch?

For example taking it off a few hours a day while being completely supervised to avoid further scratching. This can only be done if approved by your veterinarian who has more knowledge on the case. I would recommend you contact them to propose this to them and see if they agree this is a good plan again k knowing all the details about the case. If she had not been vomiting before you talked to your veterinarian and that is new, she should be evaluated again. Best of luck!

Yes it is normal to see some scabbing and from the picture, I don't see any obvious signs of infection (redness, swelling, pus). It takes 10-14 days to fully heal an incision so to be safe, I would keep it on for 14 days, then you can remove it. Frequently, vets who do the surgery like a recheck to be safe, so I'd give his vet a call just to check if you need to bring him in or not. I hope this helps!

The cone should stay on unless Jazmin has trouble eating or drinking. If this happens, it can be removed for mealtimes but should be replaced immediately afterwards. If you see her having trouble on the stairs, carry her up or gently raise her head to clear the steps. She will acclimate to the collar in a day or two.

I do not really know what is exact issue you have with the e-collar but keep in mind that you can use things like pieces of clothing or other things to try to tighten it up if that is the issue. I would like to tell you that this is not going to be an issue but in reality this can be an issue if he gets to his incision depending on what kind of incision he has. It is very important he wears his e-collar to prevent something from happening to the incision.
