Can my rabbit's bacterial eye infection be passed to humans?

My little bunny has an bacterial conjunctivitis and I started giving him antibiotics today! Can he pass us the disease?

Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! bacterial conjunctivitis in rabbits is not typically transmitted to people, unless the person has a depressed immune system for some reason. I recommend washing your hands with soap and water after handling Chipie regardless.
