My outdoor cat has a new open wound. Should I take her to the vet?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female

Hi, my cat Tammy has an open wound which she just gotten today.. she was a stray cat and we took care over her every since so she has the habit of going out almost everyday for a few hours before coming back, which we discovered she gotten her wound. Please help as we are not sure whether to bring her to the vet

I would recommend a vet visit for Tammy, given the location of this wound she will likely need some anabiotic's to prevent infection. Depending on if it appears to be a bite wound when the vet examined her they may recommend pestering her rabies vaccine as well.     That's a deep wound. Your cat needs to be taken to the vet right away. If she was attacked by another animal, she needs to be updated on her rabies vaccine, and likely needs a course of antibiotics, which can only come from your vet. That wound may need to be cleaned and explored as well, depending on how it looks on exam.
