My newborn kitten is sneezing and breathing weirdly. What should I do?

Sneezing can be a sign of an upper respiratory tract infection. You will need to estimate his genital region after he eats to help him urinate and defecate. A mother cat would do this after nursing. Unfortunately kittens are susceptible to many viruses that infect the respiratory tract and can cause noise, running eyes and noses and general ill health. There is little to do for a virus aside from administering antinflammatories which you would need to have prescribed by a vet. However I would recommend taking the kitten in for an exam as the viruses can make way for bacterial infection and the vet can give antibiotics if needed. In the mean time keep the kitten in stress and draught free environment.

This kitten may have an upper respiratory tract infection, pneumonia, or a congenital birth defect affecting its mouth/palate area. If you have access to a veterinarian it'd be best to examine this kitten and consider testing for infectious diseases that are very contagious to other cats.

Cats don't usually sneeze when it is cold outside. I think an upper respiratory infection is more likely. They are common in cats. Most are viral and must run their course. Sometimes they can get a bacterial infection that causes poor appetite, thick nasal or eye discharge, coughing, etc. These need antibiotics. Other possible causes for sneezing include something stuck in the nose (like a blade of grass) or a nasopharyngeal polyp. If the sneezing seems to bother Habla, then I would recommend that you have her examined by a vet. You can put mama and babies in a small box or cat kennel for the trip so they can stay together.

It sounds like the kittens have an upper respiratory disease (virus). They need to see the vet. If the mom and dad were not vaccinated properly that is probably the cause.
