Why is my neutered kitten acting sick and peeing after a bath?

It would be highly unusual for a kitten to have urinary complications after neutering. You are a good pet parent for monitoring him, but as long as he is interacting with you, interested in food, and is doing normal cat behaviors such as grooming I wouldn’t worry yet. If he’s repeatedly getting into and out of the litter box without producing anything, if he starts vocalizing in the box, or if there is bloody discharge from the surgical area take him right in.

I am sorry Miso is not feeling well. I would recommend taking Miso to the vet for a good exam, It is possible that Miso has gotten sick and it is not related to the neuter. Some cats can be sensitive to certain medications but can also get viral disease that can cause vomiting and anorexic. IT is best to have his temperature taken and a good exam to help determine why he is sick and proper treatment. I hope that helps

Noodle might be sick. By this point, he should be completely recovered from the neuter. I recommend to ave him examined today if possible. I'm sorry to hear Zeko is so sick. These signs are not expected post-op and they are not normal. I would recommend to take him in to see a vet. Depending on how large your shelter is, they may have a doctor on staff to see these pets so call them but otherwise take him to see your regular doctor. Don't wait til after the holidays. It is possible that he could have had a reaction to the anesthesia or just the stress of being neutered. Or it could be completely coincidental and it could be secondary to something else like parasites, foreign body, a sudden change in food, pancreatitis, an underlying infection, and much more. I would try to feed him some plain boiled boneless and skinless chicken and white rice. I would also try to start him on some probiotics. Your vet should be able to provide these or give you some recommendations. You can try some plain sugar free yogurt but the probiotics in this isn't as good as the cat probiotics because we have different bacteria in our gut than in cats. The next step should be to have him re-examined and likely have some bloodwork done. I would also make sure the vet has ruled out an parasites including giardia which is difficult to find on a regular fecal test. If your vet doesn't think there is a foreign body, they will be able to provide him with a good anti-nausea medicine to help with the vomiting. I hope this helps!

I would not be overly concerned when he is normal in every other way, this may just be related to recovery from anesthetic or settling in to his new home. Continue to monitor closely and report it to your vets office if continuing or he develops any discomfort
