My new kitten was just neutered, why is his blanket wet with no smell?

It would be highly unusual for a kitten to have urinary complications after neutering. You are a good pet parent for monitoring him, but as long as he is interacting with you, interested in food, and is doing normal cat behaviors such as grooming I wouldn’t worry yet. If he’s repeatedly getting into and out of the litter box without producing anything, if he starts vocalizing in the box, or if there is bloody discharge from the surgical area take him right in.

I'm sorry to hear that Roxas is not feeling well. Most neuter incisions, especially in young cats, heal very quickly and a week would be the minimum I would wait to give him a bath. I don't think you did anything wrong there. I would look at his neuter incisions and see how they look. Most of the time at this point they just have small scabs on them. As for the symptoms you are describing, I would recommend that he be seen by a veterinarian so it's good you have an appointment. It may be related to the neuter since it happened so recently, but it could be a completely separate illness. Please don't beat yourself up. You are doing the right thing in taking him in tomorrow.

This is normal, usually toms will pee when waking up from anesthesia after neutering. Unfortunately bathing can facilitate bacteria to enter the would and cause an infection. I suppose you can only go out and buy a can of febreze and spray the room where he spends his time. He himself will stop smelling bad after a while (could be a day or two) because he will be cleaning himself and therefore cleaning up the urine on his fur,

It depends on when your guy had surgery and if you mean urine/feces or both. If recent it could be anesthesia related as this can slow the gi tract down and/or he may be a little tired from the procedure/sedation. It could also be pain related. Do you notice anything abnormal about the neuter site (redness, swelling, discharge)? If he is eating and drinking normally then he will re establish normality soon. If he is not feeling well or you are worried about the surgery site it would be best to have him checked by your vet. I would say he is a little bit in pain from the surgery and therefore waited to pee until now. Being jumpy is also normal, it is a sign of stress, as he was in an environment unfamiliar to him, he got injections and he woke up with pain. So he would feel apprehensive. Usually there is no problem with the litter coming into contact with a wound, it will likely not cause infection and you do not need to use a special litter. Noodle might be sick. By this point, he should be completely recovered from the neuter. I recommend to ave him examined today if possible. He could have a fever, infection or a reaction to the anesthesia. Best to play it safe. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

Sometimes kittens can actually get hyperactive in response to the sedatives that are used during the procedure. You definitely don’t want Ginger jumping around or being too active. I recommend to shut him either in a small bathroom or a large dog crate. Make sure to provide his food, water and litter box. Hang out with him if you need to until he calms down. I suspect the sniffing is also just a side effect from the sedative. If he does not seem normal by tomorrow, call his veterinarian.
