Can my male cat impregnate a female after a UTI or small penis?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 4 months old | 3 lbs

my cat eat his penis because he have u.t.i last last month and he has small penis, my question is can he possibly have a baby kitten?? can he possibly got pregnant a female cat even though his penis is too small?? i'm so worried :(

Hello!

It is common for cats to chew at their genital regions when they have UTIs; I'm sorry to hear that Morgoth went through that.

Has he had a recheck appointment to be sure the infection is gone? If not, I would recommend pursuing that to ensure he is at peak health for breeding performance. They can talk to you about testing his sperm quality, finding a queen of appropriate health, and what breed testing is recommended for him.

The spikes you are seeing on his penis are a normal part of feline anatomy. They are used during mating. From the picture alone, I don't see any reason for him to be unable to breed.

I would discourage from using him as breeding stock since his infection was so severe as a kitten. But to answer your question, he should be able to breed if he can find the female and mount correctly. This may take practice and a few tries but it would not affect his fertility level

Is it okay for my unneutered male cat to mate with my spayed female?

She will probably not let him come around her. A male cats penis has little barbs or spines on it so it won't be comfortable for her to let him mate her. Male cats can also spray their urine to mark their territory which is very smelly. I would recommend having him neutered. Good luck and kisses to both!

Thank you for submitting your question regarding your cats. Cats are able to become pregnant by the same cat for multiple litters. Both cats would need to be evaluated by a veterinarian to determine if a fertility issue is to blame and to determine which cat has the problem. Can a neutered male cat still get an unspayed female cat pregnant?

Why does my intact male cat get an erection during play?

This can be completely normal, especially in pets that are intact. Intact males have high levels of testosterone that causes an erection during times of excitation. I wouldn't be too concerned unless it remains out afterwards and doesn't go back in, or your cat starts vocalizing and is seen straining to urinate (signs of a urinary blockage). You can still opt to get him checked out by your vet just to make sure he is physically ok; however he is likely just fine.

My male cat has a swollen penis. Is it a urinary blockage or FLUTD?

From reviewing your previous question on Storm I believe that the answer that was provided regarding why his penis is swollen was about the potential for urethral blockage. Male cats are prone to a condition called Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD) that can cause severe inflammation in the urethra, which we often see as swelling of the penis caused by their licking it. This is a serious condition that can become life-threatening if the urethra become partially or fully blocked, as they can't urinate. Your vet can check Storm for signs of this disease and recommend medications and/or food that will treat this condition.
