In that area, cats can have some odd looking structures in their mouths. Check the other side for a matching structure. if one is present, it's likely normal. If one is not present, have him examined by the veterinarian to see what that is. I hope this helps.

From the photos it looks like Xena has a "rodent ulcer" (aka: eosinophilic granuloma complex). If these are symmetrical on both sides and not changing, they are likely normal for Cali. Some cats will develop a benign thickening in the lip where the opposite canine tooth touches. Your vet will be able to provide better feedback with an in-person exam, but as long as they’re not changing and Cali seems comfortable, it can probably wait until Cali’s next routine appointment. Hello. At this point, it looks like Zam Zam has a small cyst on his lip. It would help to know his age, but if he is a pretty young cat, a couple of years or so, then I would not be concerned that this is anything really serious. It may even be related to an allergic response called a rodent ulcer. If it remains this small, then no immediate attention is required, but if it dramatically begins to enlarge, you will want to have it evaluated. For this reason, I recommend that you have Angel evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment. Your veterinarian could perform a fine needle aspirate or biopsy to try to reach a diagnosis.
