My kitten swallowed a bone. What emergency action should I take?

A small as the bone is, I suspect they will be okay. Cats are less likely to swallow bones in large pieces than dogs . I would keep an eye on them and take them in if they seem sick. In the meantime you can feed them some extra dry food to help bulk up the contents of their gastrointestinal tract to help any bone bits to pass more easily.

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do about this situation. It's not recommended to induce vomiting because the bone could get caught in Furman's esophagus, and/or cause damage on the way up. You can only watch him to see if there are any problems from this ingestion. If you see any blood in his feces, he becomes anorexic, he start vomiting, there is blood in his vomit, he has diarrhea, and/or he becomes lethargic, you will need to take him into a vet immediately. It can take up to 72 hours for signs of an obstruction or perforation to appear, so watch him closely over this time. Best of luck, I hope this helps.

I would be concerned that this bone could still be stuck in her throat, and Lobsti has to see a vet now. Please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The biggest concern with the wing bones is that they can be quite sharp so there is a chance it could pierce the gut on the way through, and also the chance it could get stuck. If you could get her to a vet within 30mins of eating it they could try making her sick to bring it up, but there is potential to damage the oesophagus. Aside from that all you can really do is wait and keep a close eye for signs of an issue. Feed her plenty to keep bulk to her faeces. If you notice her getting dull or tender, not going to the toilet or not eating, get her straight to the vet.

It is hard to say whether or not your kitten will be able to pass the nipple. It will mostly depend on how much he swallowed and how big the kitten is. If Sam starts vomiting, having diarrhea, or stops wanting to eat then I would begin to be concerned about a possible blockage. His gums don't look tremendously pale, but the lethargy and discomfort you describe is concerning, and yes, I would take him in. It's hard to say whether the bones could have caused a complete GI blockage, but if he's not defecating at all (or urinating???) then that is a potential concern. Even a serious case of gastroenteritis secondary to eating fish and bones is extremely uncomfortable, and warrants treatment. I would take him in ASAP.
