Why is my 3-month-old kitten's poop soft and yellowish? Is it normal?

In many cats, a light brown or yellowish color can be normal to the stool. If it becomes more of a pale yellow/white yellow, or becomes loose or has mucus or blood in the stool, these would be reasons for concern and a visit to the vet should take place.

It is possible diva has parasites or the mother milk is giving it that look. I would start off by checking the feces for parasites including coccidia . This parasite can be treated with medications from your vet.

They are all so cute! If the stool is firm and otherwise normal, the color could be a natural variation, but it can also indicate a bacterial infection. If the stool is loose (like diarrhea), then I would suspect there could be a bacterial infection. To be safe, I would take Angel and kittens into the vet now for a check up. This is fairly normal stool for a neonatal kitten, although it does look a bit watery. The stool should start to become more firm and brown as the kitten gets older. If it seems very watery or you are seeing blood or mucous there would be some concern. It might be a good idea to have this very young kitten examined by a vet regardless to make sure it seems to be healthy and to discuss proper bottle feeding and other care.

Poor Venus! The most common cause of loose yellow or orange-colored stool in a kitten this age would be intestinal parasites. I would recommend first having her examined by a vet - he/she can take a fecal sample and check it under a microscope for parasites such as hookworms, roundworms, or coccidia. If any problems are found, they can also prescribe appropriate medication to treat the issue. In the meantime, you can try feeding her a bland diet of plain boiled chicken or chicken-flavored baby food to help settle her stomach until you are able to get her in to see the vet.

The vast majority of these cases are due to an intestinal infection or a diet sensitivity. His veterinarian will likely perform fecal testing. Deworming medication or an antibiotic may be necessary. I would recommend rechecking a stool sample. Parasites are not consistent shedders so he may also had a different intestinal parasites that the dewormer didn't cover and may need something else.
