My kitten is having seizures after a bath. Is it a vet emergency?

Please have her assessed urgently by an emergency vet and take the shampoo bottle with you. Small kittens are very sensitive to insecticides and weakness and tremors are common side effects and can progress to seizures

If she had what appeared to be a seizure, I would place a small amount of karo syrup on the gums and get her seen right away as her sugar level may be low. This could easily cause the seizures with low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). Sick kittens oftentimes do not eat enough and will secondarily get hypoglycemia. I am so sorry to hear that. Your cat Casper may be having a seizure. Place him in a quiet room and wrap him in soft blankets or towels until it passes. Then it is best to take him to your vet in the morning or within 24-48 hrs if the seizure dissipates on its own. Typically seizures are not life-threatening unless they continuously occur and don't go away within 15-30 minutes and it is always best to get your pet checked and bloodwork ran to look for underlying causes. If the seizures occur for more than 2-3 minutes or happen more than once a month then it is warranted to get Casper started on anti-seizure medication. Another possible cause of the muscle spasms is a toxin exposure, which would require immediate medical attention and would results in spasms that are continuous and don't resolve.

I'm really concerned about Des wobbling like she is drunk, as that can be a sign of something serious like getting into something toxic. It is a medical emergency if your cat hits their head and starts having seizures. It can indicate serious trauma to the head. Langston needs to be seen by a vet immediately, please take him into a vet now.

You cannot do anything at this time. Cats cannot really take over the counter medications and especially not a kitten this small. She really needs a vet ASAP so I would suggest an emergency clinic. That is your only option other than just waiting (which I don't recommend). If she was an adult, waiting might be OK.
